Before starting in film Nancy Buirski worked writing and photographing Earth Angels: Migrant Children in America, as a documentary photographer and as the Foreign Picture Editor at The New York Times. She is now known for her work as a director and producer. She was the founder and director of Full Frame Documentary Film Festival for ten years. During that time she was able to work in association with Docudrama and The Katrina Experiences to produce five Full Frame shorts. Thus far, she is a producer of Time Piece, Harlem Woodstock, and Althea. Buirski is next working on Tanaquil Le Clercq: Afternoon of a Faun. Mixed Roots is thrilled to share her recently debuted film The Loving Story.
